What is Y Cash?

Y Cash is a prepaid card scheme developed by Green Y, the commercial arm of Young Enterprise East of England, part of the UK's leading business and enterprise education charity.

Y Cash has been developed to give young people control of their finances and to promote responsible spending. It is a tool to learn good money habits by only spending what you have and keeping track of what you spend.

How does Y Cash help?

The Y Cash scheme fully supports the FSA's vision of "better informed, educated and more confident citizens, able to take greater responsibility for their financial affairs".

In particular, it can help you to manage your money, keep track of your finances and learn and stay informed about financial products.

Y Cash has also been designed to raise funds for educational organisations and charity partners whilst also raising money for the charity Young Enterprise. Every time a Y Cash Card is used a donation is given to the scheme that is shared between the 'nominated organisation',the charity 'Young Enterprise', and the 'Y Cash Programme'.

What is the Y Cash MasterCard® Prepaid Card scheme?

Y Cash is the 'new money' that gives you freedom and control in the form of flexible plastic. Y Cash Student is available to full-time students (up to the age of 25) and the standard Y Cash Card is available to adults aged 18 and over.

Y Cash offers a secure way to manage cash whether you are in-store, online or using an ATM. It's an ideal way to buy goods, music, games online and clothes, also giving you added convenience for when you are out and about.

Which card is right for me?

Y Cash Student

• Must be a full-time student aged 13 - 25 (under 18's will require parental/ guardian consent)

• Must be aged 18 or above
